I was so grateful to the fact she take the time to explain everything while on each location and thoughtful for checking on us throughout the whole time making sure if you’re tired to take a break. to not overdo it that our health was at most important. Definitely recommend everyone to book it!
perfect 1 day tour to welcome you to Tokyo and help you get more comfortable with everything. a lot of history learned and things seem in 1 day.
If you want to capture all most important sightseeing of Tokyo in one go with a great company, then book the tour now. I can recommend Michiko as she is amazing, lovely person.
Great overall tour, you get a lot done in one day! Amazing tour guide that was very knowledgeable and catered to any needs anyone in the group had! I can’t recommend this enough. Perfect for the beginning of a trip here in Tokyo.
I won’t deny that it was a long day but really totally worth it. There is a bit of sitting here and there but do wear your most comfortable shoes!
Yasuko our guide was lovely. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and above and beyond the touristy info we were able to chat about life in Tokyo, raising kids, education system, food and more. All in all a boutique experience. Highly recommended by myself, my husband and 13 year old son.
Yasuko was a wonderful guide, full of patience and pep throughout the long, hot day. We also loved the pictures she took and promptly shared afterwards. We were lucky to be the only guests on the tour, so Yasuko personalised it to our interests and was a fantastic conversationalist.
The tour is both exhaustive and exhausting, especially during summer, but at the end you really will feel like you have seen and understood Japan. From discovering unique neighbourhoods to understanding local customs and practices, the tour is a fabulous way to get an overview of Tokyo. Best done at the start of the trip so that you can revisit places you like later on.
Not a dull moment on this tour!
Yasuko-san went above and beyond for our group from start to finish.
She was kind, courteous, attentive & so informative of all the sites she took us to! It is a fast-paced tour but it does not feel rushed, she takes her time guiding you and explaining the history behind the sites you visit. Not to mention how affordable this tour is in comparison to so many others, I think that relying on the train for transportation really does give you the full experience of being in Tokyo! 10/10 recommend taking advantage of this opportunity & booking with them!
What a lovely introduction to Tokyo! A long and tiring day but worth it.
Yasuko was so accomodating and knowledgeable and I could not have asked for a better host for the day! She really made an effort to get to know us personally and even offered personalised recommendations for my trip!
Throughout the day we were able to get a taster of many attractions in Tokyo. It also enabled me to get a better understanding of the public transport system! I will definitely be returning to many of the areas we visited and hope to visit the areas Yasuko recommended!
This was a terrific introduction to Tokyo! I only wish we had more time with Yasuko to soak up all of her knowledge! She was able to answer all of our questions and Japanese history and culture, it’s clear she’s a wealth of information. It’s a long day, but definitely worth doing towards the beginning of your time in Tokyo so you can return to your favorite neighborhoods for more in-depth exploration.
I toured the city of Tokyo with 7 fellow tourmates and Yashuko. Yashuko was a wonderful guide. She had a warm personality, was knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor.
The tour lasted from 8 am to
approximately 7pm and consisted of lots and lots of walking and climbing stairs. We walked a lot through neighborhoods and to popular sites in Tokyo and traveled section to section by train. We visited temples, shrines, parks and a garden. We ate snacks, appetizers and drinks which we individually paid for and Yashuko provided bottled water. We even stopped at a local fish market, was allowed to explore on our own and indulged in a tasty lunch. At the end of the tour, we stopped at a local eatery and had refreshments.
You must have comfortable clothing and comfortable, supportive walking shoes to truly enjoy the tour. Being in good physical shape and having endurance helps with enjoyment of this tour. This tour involves moderate exercise and I do not recommend you take this tour if you have exercise intolerance issues, heart problems or recent bone/skeletal/hip or back surgery.
Yashuko did an excellent job of keeping the tour group together through crowds and mass transit and the tour group was allowed to take breaks and rest when needed. Yashuko took photos of the group at various locations and shared them with the group later that day. Yashuko answered questions and was very helpful. Yashuko's bright smile and awesome energy is infectious!!!
I highly recommend this tour for those who are in good physical shape, are energetic and want to learn about fabulous sites, culture, religion and food of Tokyo. Just know that you will get plenty of exercise and may need to take a hot soothing bath in bath salts and get a massage after this tour. I highly recommend that people take this tour when they first get to Tokyo to enhance their Tokyo experience. Go ahead, book this tour now!!! I trust you will be glad that you did!!! 😁
Whether you only have a brief stay or want a general overview of Tokyo, this is a great tour. Michiko was a wonderful guide. We were lucky to be the only ones in the group and she went out of her way to find and get us in to some specific restaurants she liked. They were great. Lots of great tips on getting around on the trains. It is a long tour and you do a lot of walking but it is worth it.
Amazing and must-recommend tour. Yasuko was an amazing guide who was knowledgeable about every place we visited. I loved being able to get a glimpse of many areas in Tokyo. Yasuko was friendly and patient with all of us on the tour. I am really happy to have had done this tour on my first full day in Tokyo. I was able to get familiar with the train system and how to get around.
We had a fantastic time on this tour and would recommend it for everyone to take! It’s an extended walking tour around the main neighborhoods of Tokyo and we saw so many sites we wouldn’t have seen alone. Even though we did a ton of walking it was a relaxed pace and we had multiple opportunities to shop and have breaks/bathroom stops. Our guide Yasuko was absolutely lovely and so warm and friendly. She absolutely made the tour for us and we appreciate her enthusiasm and kindness so much! We learned a lot and had a great day - don’t hesitate and just book it already!
We took this tour with Michiko. She was so amazing. This tour has exceptional value. I enjoyed it from start to finish. It was a great introduction to Tokyo. We went to all the major sights, learned how to use the metro, and learned some Japanese. Michiko tells thoughtful stories and history. She gives us plenty of time to rest if needed or to find restrooms or to explore a sight. The tour did not feel rushed. She’s exceptionally hospitable and accommodating and kind. We asked her to take us to a local place for lunch, and it was a fantastic place that we would have never discovered on our own. Just an exceptional experience from start to finish. I absolutely recommend this tour. You should have a certain level of fitness to complete the tour because it is a full day of walking. I clocked over 19,000 steps. It’s totally worth it. Thank you so much Michiko!
Such an eventful day! Get ready to wear some comfy shoes because you really will be walking 20,000+ steps in 10 hours. We saw a lot of places, but it never felt rushed. And the best part of the trip was how attentive and thoughtful Michiko was. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. It was the perfect way to see the sights.
Let’s start off by saying michiko is the best! We loved the tour and were so happy we did this on our first full day in Tokyo bc we learned the transit system, learned so much history behind each location, and got to explore the main sights in one day. It is a full day of walking so sneakers are a must. I clocked in at 23k steps! My ONLY feedback is that I wished the tour ended at the starting point. After a full day of walking, I just wanted to get to my hotel as soon as possible but instead we were left in Asakusa so I had to take 2 separate trains to get to my hotel. Not sure if the particular order is in place for a reason but I would have preferred to do senso ji first since it was the furthest out and the venture closer towards the end. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this tour to others :)
Best way to start your trip! Michiko was such a pleasure to spend all day with. Before the tour began, she spent time with us individually to get an idea of our interests and preferences to ensure the tour was customized. A 10 hour long tour sounded daunting but the way the itinerary was so carefully crafted made the day go by so quickly. The stress of acclimating to a new travel destination was eliminated by being able to follow a guide who was there to walk you through it. By the end we felt like pros at taking the subway. She even helped us map out our travel details for the days to come. The tour was with a small, intimate group (6 total) which I really appreciated. You can tell Michiko loves what she does through her storytelling and ability to connect with everyone in the group.
We left the tour feeling like we accomplished more in a day than I would have in an entire week of mapping it out ourselves and trying to navigate. Would definitely recommend!
We had the expectation going into the tour that it was going to be an intense tour for seeing all 15 sights, but Michiko made it feel amazing and not stressful at all. She was an amazing guide and answered all of our questions we had. She really made the group personable and it felt like it was easy to talk to the other people from within the group. The sights were absolutely stunning, the cherry blossoms were way better than I thought they would be. The food market was busy but you were still able to get food fast, and oh my, it was life changing how good that food was. I would definitely do it again. Though I definitely recommend comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes.
This tour offered a comprehensive exploration of Tokyo's key sights, making it an ideal introduction to the city. We appreciated the mix of walking and using public transportation, providing a genuine feel for Tokyo's rhythm. Michiko was exceptionally helpful, going beyond to assist with our inquiries and even helping us locate eki stamps. Michiko enhanced our temple visits by teaching us to respect the religious customs and rituals, allowing us to engage more deeply with the history and culture of the temples. This is something that my husband and I took forward with us for the rest of our Japan holiday as we explored multiple temples. Also I appreciated Michiko's guidance on Japanese language and etiquette, which proved invaluable and practical for me in subsequent experiences.
My husband and I took this tour our first full day in Tokyo — and though we walked 30,000 steps that day, the day was much more relaxing than anticipated!
We visited many of the popular destinations and districts in Tokyo, without having to worry about how to get there. And we were given enough time for most stops to enjoy, look around on our own, and sit/eat (if needed). We thoroughly enjoyed our time and getting to ask questions!
Talk about a great bang for your buck in terms of so many sights seen in a day. Despite Japan’s great public transportation system, the itinerary would have been challenging for an international traveler to plan out themselves, especially given all the sights that were seen. The best part was definitely time spent at Tsukiji for lunch, as there were plenty of options for fish lovers (and non seafood lovers) alike! Thank you, Michiko for your hospitality!
Honestly, this was probably the best tour and best day of my overall stay in Tokyo. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, extremely considerate and kind, and made this experience that much better. She made everyone feel welcome and she made the experience feel very personal. In regards to the sites that were visited, I enjoyed all of them. Take shoes for you will be doing a lot of walking and it does last all day. Lots of site seeing and food tasting along the way are a major plus. I did this on my last day of my trip and I’m so glad I did. It really completed my entire stay. Hands down, it’s a must do when in Tokyo. I highly recommend. 10/10.
What a fantastic intro to Tokyo! Yasuko was absolutely amazing and one of the best tour guides that’s I’ve had. I was the only person on the tour which allowed me to get a very intimate and personal experience. It felt like I was visiting a friend in Japan who was showing me the major highlights of the city.
Yasuko first took me to Meiji Jingu Shrine which was beautiful and told me about the two religions of Japan; Shinto and Buddhism. She should me the Japanese custom of how to wash your hands, clean your mouth, and bow before entering the gates of the shrine. She also showed me how to donate and pray at the shrines for good will.
We did lots of shopping and sightseeing at Takeshita and Ameya Yokocho streets. We also visited some well known Japanese tourist areas such as Ginza, Shinjuku, Akihabara, and Shibuya. I loved going to Tsukiji Market and also walking around the beautiful Ueno Park. Yasuko even showed me a hidden area in Ueno Park for prayer which I really enjoyed.
I learned so much about the history and current times of Japan and the Japanese people. It was so enlightening to learn so much about a different culture than my own. Yasuko is very passionate and such a great story teller. You can tell that she loves what she does.
Yasuko also went out of her way to help me redeem my JR Rail pass. It made me feel special! She also took me to a wonderful sushi restaurant and an amazing Izakaya, both as my first experiences in Japan. It was a long day but I enjoyed every minute of this tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Tokyo for the first time and who wants to visit the best parts of the city.
Thank you Yasuko and team Jun for an incredible tour experience!
So worth it! A very good game experience with good info, kind guide and good tempo.
Especially good for your first or second day. Extra cred to Yasuko!
Great overview of Tokyo!
This was a great tour! I am only in Tokyo for 2 days so this was a good way to see many of the popular sites while I’m here. Even if you are visiting longer, I think this tour gives a good overview at the beginning of your trip and then you can choose where you want to return to later in your trip.
We had sunny weather but it was very windy. Thankfully some of our activities were inside so we could escape from the wind! There was a lot of walking, which we were warned about in the tour description, but be prepared for your legs to be very tired at the end!
My guide was Michiko and she was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. Her English was very good. She was also very good about offering breaks periodically and checking in with our group to see if we were doing okay. Overall it was a wonderful tour and I would recommend to others to take this tour!
The walking tour is over 20,000 steps, but I was able to walk it and I am over 80 years old.
I highly recommend this tour with Michiko. It was perfect for my first day in Tokyo because we went everywhere, and saw and ate everything, and learned the subway. So now I know where to return on my own to spend time (and how to get there)! Michiko was so attentive and caring and fun and knowledgeable and also fit in individual requests. My requests were about shopping and Food but there were a lot of cultural things too! It was an epic day and we were able to do it all. Thanks to Michiko, I had a wonderful experience of Tokyo.
Very good tour, I got to see a lot of Tokyo in one day and learned how to use the metro system. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and are rested for this tour, you will definitely walk around 20,000 steps. Very good information for those traveling to Tokyo for the first time, 10 out of 10
Michiko was an incredible tour guide, she was thoughtful, sweet and very knowledgeable. I am very happy with the tour will definitely recommend

Yasuko (sp?) was an amazing host! She was so welcoming, very sweet, knowledgeable, and fun. You can tell that she loves what she does and is very passionate. The pace of the tour was perfect. We saw so much! But, we were also given rest breaks. This was one of my favorite days of the trip! I would recommend this tour to everybody. She shared history, culture, traditions, etc. She also lived in the US for 10 years prior to this, so I think that helped with sharing perspective. We loved her and the tour!
My husband and I had a great time on this one day guided tour with Michiko!!
This was our second day in Japan and we are glad we had this tour to guide us. We could not have visited so many amazing places in such efficient way. This is a must do. We got a great flavor of Tokyo and we plan to spend the rest of the time in Tokyo to do more of what we liked the most from today. That said, all attractions visited today were chosen purposely and provide a great view of Tokyo.
And last but not the least, huge thanks and love to our guide Michiko. She was so sincere, kind and informed. It was a great pleasure to be in her company all day. The experience is worth just for this bit in itself.
We highly recommend this experience. And we would personally go for similar experience by Team Jun in Kyoto city as well.
Thanks, team Jun!
Michiko-san did a wonderful job of showing a small handful of strangers around the major sights of Tokyo. I learned a lot from her, including how to take different public transportation options and the stories and traditions of various temples and shrines. she was also mindful of giving us opportunities to rest because we walked A LOT. I highly recommend this tour for the beginning of your trip as a great introduction to Japanese culture and the different districts in Tokyo that you can go back to and spend more time in later. I also appreciate that she took photos for us at each major landmark since I was traveling alone and didn't expect to document being there.
I had the privilege of joining a Tokyo city tour guided by the exceptional Michiko, and it was an outstanding experience. Michiko's extensive knowledge of Tokyo, combined with her engaging storytelling and warm personality, made the tour truly unforgettable. Throughout our 8.5-mile journey, we explored 15 famous sites, ranging from the bustling streets of Harajuku to the serene beauty of Ueno Park.
One of the tour's highlights was our visit to Tokyo's open markets, where we indulged in delicious street food and immersed ourselves in the local culture. Michiko's culinary recommendations were spot-on, adding a delightful culinary dimension to the tour. Additionally, her expertise in Tokyo's green spaces enhanced our appreciation of the city's natural beauty as we explored tranquil gardens and parks.
What truly set Michiko apart was her genuine connection with her guests. She ensured that everyone felt engaged and included, making the tour feel personalized and tailored to our interests. In conclusion, Michiko's Tokyo city tour is a must-do for anyone visiting the city, offering a deep and enriching exploration of Tokyo's culture and history. It was an extraordinary day I will cherish forever, thanks to Michiko's exceptional guidance and passion for the city.
Wow, what a fabulous tour! If this is your first time in Tokyo, you’re a solo traveler or don’t know where to start with your journey, look no further. This will be your Tokyo 101 intro course you didn’t know you needed. Our group and I kept saying how this is the best guided tour we have ever done!
Yakuso was our guide and she was so amazing. She took us to so many different places, covered much more than I would have ever covered on my own and it never felt rushed or overwhelming. She is easy to talk to and she is so knowledgeable about the history of Japan and was open to answering any questions about the culture and the country. You could tell she really loves her job and I loved that. Thank you so much Yakuso and Team Jun for an amazing experience.
We loved our guide, Yasuko! She was overall incredible. Given you're spending the whole day with your guide, Yasuko was nothing short of sweet, engaging, and so knowledgeable about Tokyo and overall history, culture, and recommendations during our stay in Japan. She checked in on us multiple times to see how we were doing with the walking and personalized the experience to focus on the places we were excited to see. She curated our experience completely and we left feeling as if we made a new friend.
Thank you so much! Couldn't recommend this tour enough if it's your first experience in Tokyo/Japan!
typically don't do tours when I travel, however, I was recommended to try one in tokyo. This tour was great and extremely valuable in touching on the key parts of the city to visit, revisit at another time, build familiarity with the tube, and learn the basic customs of the country. Michiko was an excellent tour guide and a kind soul and deserves nothing but 10/10. Because of this tour, I will go on more tours in the future. thanks
Wow! A jam packed fun filled day from start to finish! So many interesting places to see - with added local knowledge tips for when we wanted to go back ourselves. Michigo was an amazing guide who was warm and friendly, happy to share her knowledge, stories and experiences. She did an amazing job at meeting (& exceeding) the needs, questions and expectations from our small group tour. 5/5 stars from us! (Missed out on the bonus point for ice cream! Haha! Maybe next time?!) Thank you for a most amazing day filled with many special moments and memories!
Our guide, Michiko, was fantastic from start to finish. Doing these tours on a daily basis must be exhausting, but she displayed great energy and enthusiasm from start to finish. The tour itself is pretty much exactly as described, a whirlwind tour of Tokyo which leaves you with a taste for a number of different places. It is a LOT of walking and standing, so pack light and wear comfortable shoes. Michiko did her absolute best to find places for people to sit on the train/park benches etc. (We wish that she would also have sat down sometimes though!)
Highly recommend doing this tour. If you do, it might be best to purchase a 24hr metro ticket as I believe this would work out a fair bit cheaper than all the individual trips combined.
Thanks again, Michiko!
A great way to begin a visit to Tokyo, and get a feel for where to return and spend more time exploring. My visit was booked close to my arrival, so I hadn’t done a lot of research, this tour was invaluable in my planning the rest of my stay.
Our guide Michiko was incredibly knowledgeable, and absolutely lovely also, a true pleasure to spend the day with. She also ensured we were all well taken care of, allowing breaks when anyone needed, and setting a pace that suited everyone.
I can't say enough about Yasuko, our tour guide for our day-long adventure in Tokyo! She was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met her, she made the entire group feel like old friends exploring the city together. Yasuko's knowledge of Tokyo is mind-blowing, and she shared fascinating stories about the history and culture at every location. Honestly, Yasuko is not just a tour guide; she is a cultural ambassador for Tokyo. If you're visiting Tokyo, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Yasuko and her team – you won't be disappointed! Yasuko-san, 本当に ありがとう!
The tour was a great deal of fun all while being very educational! It was informative, beautiful and breathtaking. Yasuko was exceptionally energetic, polite, charming, and funny! She was a great teacher and was also eager to learn about each of us and where we came from and was quick to point out the parallels in Japanese culture and ours. She showed us many beautiful places on the tour and taught us about everything you can think of when it comes to Japanese culture and history! We got 20,000+ steps in so be ready for a workout and make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes. Highly recommend this tour to everyone and if at all possible request Yasuko be your Tour Guide! 😊
First time booking an experience on Airbnb and this tour went above and beyond! Yasuko was the most knowledgeable, heartwarming and thoughtful guide. She made sure all of our questions were answered and was so helpful recommending dishes when we ate at the restaurants. She was very informative at all 15 sites we visited with stories, mannerism and traditions in Japan. Every single person in our group was so much fun and a huge pleasure to spend the day with. We explored and learned about so many new places that we probably would have missed if we didn’t book this experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo for the first time! Thank you so much Yasuko!
Highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Japan for the first time. My guide Michiko showed me how to move around, how people live and how to use some services specific to Japan. Then we went on a stroll and it was a joy listnening about the culture and history of Tokyo and Japan.
As I was the only guest I had a privilege to have lunch with Michiko in a traditional sushi place where the food was just out of this world.
Yasko our host was just absolutely amazing. I was on this tour with my two teenage sons and we enjoyed every aspect. It also helped us to get our bearings and get an idea of what we would want to see more in depth for the rest of our trip.
She provided great explanations and answered all our questions. Her positivity and happiness impressed both of my sons. She was a perfect host.
This was my first trip to Tokyo and this tour was the perfect way to get a sample of all the major sites in this incredible city Out guide Yasuko was not just knowledgeable about all the locations but was also able to help me figure out the train system and answer lots of other questions about how to navigate Japan and the culture here. Don’t be intimidated by the walking, you’ll be offered plenty of breaks and Yasuko was super thoughtful and mindful of how we were feeling throughout the day. Thanks to this tour I was able to discover places I probably would not have on my own, can’t recommend enough!
This is the way to see Tokyo. Our guide Yasoko was very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. she was very considerate. We were a small group of 3 and time went really fast. I didn't even realise that I did 20,000 steps. we even got a little free time to explore fish market and had tea break. She even took our pictures on all important spots and we went for a drink at the end of the walk which was fun. I am so happy I decided to do this experience. it gave me an overall view of the import spots and I revisited few afterwards. I was Running 3 mins late and was worried to miss the tour but team Jun really helped me to make it to the experience. Thanks team Jun and Thanks Yasoko.
Do not hesitate to book this tour! It was fantastic. Our tour guide Yasuko was by far the best guide we have ever had (and we book lots of guided tours while on vacation). She spoke English, was so sweet, and was very informative about each and every location we saw, and we saw all the top sites in Tokyo in one day. Moving across the entire city, stopping to eat and shop at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour for your first full day in Tokyo to get a lay of the land, an understanding of the subway, and see most all of the important sites while gaining invaluable back stories and a true understanding of their history and culture. My family asked if we could take Yasuko with us for the rest of our Japan trip, the kids loved her so much. We are a family of 6 with 2 younger girls and 2 older girls so it is not always easy to find a tour everyone will love, but this was a home run.
If you’re still deciding whether to book this tour or not, book this now!
Yakuso was an excellent tour guide that brought us to sooo many different spots in Tokyo. She is the sweetest tour guide and put the biggest smile during the whole tour despite it was quite a long walk. It was really worth the price as we got to learn so much more about the beautiful place of Tokyo.
⭐️⭐️⭐️Yakuso is a superstar!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yasuko was an absolute gem!!! We couldn't have asked for a better guide. She was very knowledgeable of the places we saw, and also very thoughtful. My daughter is vegan and Yasuko made sure to find and recommend places that served vegan dishes! I also casually mentioned I wasn't feeling well and she found a pharmacy along the way and spoke with the pharmacist and got me exactly what I needed to start feeling better. Enjoyed the rest of the tour so much better because of her thoughtfulness. She was very thorough in sharing the background stories of all the sites we saw. Something we probably would not have known visiting on our own. We learned so much about the Japanese culture from our tour. We had seven in our group ranging in age from 19-57. She kept us all entertained. By the end of the day, the tour felt more like a visit with our favorite aunt showing us around her beloved city than a day with a stranger. Can't thank you enough for an incredible day! Totally worth the price paid for a full day with Yasuko and Team Jun! Cheers to Yasuko for making us feel so welcomed and sharing this wonderful city with us! Made navigating the trains so much easier the next day.
What an incredible tour this was! Yasuko, or guide, was a fantastic host. So kind, so sincere, so passionate about Tokyo and about making us all feel great on this tour. We visited so many spots in one day, made over 20,000 steps, had great lunch and celebrated with drinks in the end! She also took pictures of the group and provided them to us in the end! That was such a sweet touch.
I would highly recommend you to book the tour!
This tour might be one of the best tours you can get anywhere if you enjoy a personal touch. My guide Yasuko was incredibly hospitable, warm, and knowledgeable. It felt like we were out with friends and one had invited us to their hometown. I saw other large group tours and I'd bet none of them compared to this one. We went all over Tokyo and saw nonstop sights over 10 hours. Yasuko also pointed out spots to come back to or places to visit even outside of Tokyo, and talked to the group personally in order to give us suggestions. She took a lot of interest in us, talking about everyone's trip, even her own experiences. She made it feel like I was not uncomfortable in a completely foreign place. That made the experience one of the best I've had abroad. We ate a lot of food, took lots of photos, and had fun. Worth every penny. I do not think you can do better than this for your time and money. I'd do it again!
I have done similar tours around the world, and this one was one of the best i’ve attended. Yasuko, our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate with perfect mastery of English language making it an unforgettable experience for all of us with meeting all the objectives of the itinerary going over the basic manners of Japanese culture and religion, Tokyo’s transportation but at the mean time sharing interesting stories and not boring anyone with endless historical facts that you would forget the next day. Very interesting introductory tour for anyone who can walk about 10miles during 9-10hrs tour and hopping on 10 different trains to familiarize themselves with the city and the profound Japanese cultures and the food. She would take alot of pictures of you and will take you to nice authentic restaurants with affordable prices and great food. All worth it!
Michiko !!! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu for showing me your City. I would have never be able to visit so many places in a day.
I am lost for words on how to describe this experience. It is a 5 star experience. Do yourself a favour and book the experience on first/second day of your trip.
We covered all the landmarks mentioned for the activity, eat Sushi at a local restaurant (being Vegetarian Michiko helped me order and made sure I wasn’t left out).
My group & I had incredible time. Michiko is extremely helpful, accommodating & knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour & looking forward to Kyoto & Shinjuku experience with your team.
Thank you for making my trip so memorable. Keep up the good work !!!
This tour is packed with a lot of the major attractions you would want to see in Tokyo. I would recommend doing something like this early on in your trip to give you an understanding of the various areas you are taken to, so that you can use the remaining days to explore some of areas that interested you the most.
Fair warning, and the tour listing highlights this detail - IT IS 9-10 HOURS OF WALKING. Your feet will feel it towards the end of the tour. However, it is very worth it and I would recommend it to anyone that thinks they can handle the walking.
The tour guide was very helpful and explained the details of each location; history and cultural significance. They also took pictures for us when we needed to and took short breaks for us to regain energy. The people we met on this tour were also great and ended up with friends that will keep in touch with.
Overall 10/10 experience and recommend it to all!
A brilliant springboard into Tokyo to get a taste of many different areas. We covered so much in one day (comfy shoes are a must) but so nice and relaxing to just follow someone else!! Our guide Yasuko was brilliant. She was warm and caring and shared lots of interesting information with us and put a lot of effort into us having an excellent day. It was great to be in a small group rather than a large tour. Lunch at the sushi restaurant was delicious and the izakaya at the end for drinks and food was a fun way to end the tour. We plan to use some of the rest of our time in Tokyo to head back to some interesting spots on the tour and explore further.
If the tour was on TikTok, it would be a flashing video of the most distinct, vibrant and dynamic walkthrough of Tokyo. From the Imperial Palace to Harajuku, each hand-picked location couldn't feel more different and exciting than the last. We highly recommend it for someone who just landed in Tokyo (as we were). It was a great way to become familiar with travelling via Suica/Pasmo and opened our awareness to new places we would like to revisit and explore further. Our guide Michiko was very friendly and patient and made the long day feel like an adventure with old friends.
Our guide Michiko was wonderful. She was on time, very personable, kept the tour moving swiftly, and had lots of wonderful facts and historical details to share. She timed the sushi lunch perfectly, as just after we were seated a rush of people lined up outside. She saved us a long wait. She was patient, helping everyone purchase the various train tickets and passes needed. When the day turned rainy, she quickly pivoted with a plan B, and also asked the tour members about their preferences under the rainy conditions. She was diligent about making sure everyone had fun, was comfortable, and that the pace was good for everyone. If you can get Michiko, you are very lucky! Out of all of the tours we did in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Michiko was the all-around best guide we had.
This tour is perfect if this is your first time in Tokyo! Yakuso was a great host that not only shows you several areas, but gives in-depth knowledge, cultural customs and history about them! She also takes several photos of you and the group throughout the day which is really nice because sometimes you forget lol. I'm so glad it lasted as long as it did because there was just so much ground to cover! The place we had lunch had really delicious food and it was helpful that we ordered ahead of time. Even the yakitori place at the end of the tour was a great experience. Yakuso was there to answer several travel questions and even helps you find your way home at the end. I felt way more confident getting around afterwards and now knew about the popular sights and attractions of Tokyo! I highly recommend this tour and would do it again!
Yasuko was our guide for this awesome experience and was very professional and personable. We got to see so much of Tokyo in one day and had a blast with fellow tour attendees. The restaurants that we went to for lunch and dinner were also very good. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo, preferably on one of the first days of your visit. We got a good idea of which places we wanted to spend more time at throughout the rest of our visit. Jun was also responsive and personable. Thank you!
Such a great tour of the city! Get ready for a LOT of walking but it's definitely worth it if you are visiting for a short bit of time, you will be able to knock off most iconic landmarks off your list. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes and attire as you'll be walking over 25K steps!
My tour guide was so lovely and knew much about the local area and supplemented our tour with stories of Japan and it's history. Definitely recommend this tour if you are on a time pinch :D
Muy buen anfitrión, conoce muy bien las historias de cada lugar, la comida, muy enriquecedor el tour. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
This was a great tour of this amazing city! My sister and I only had an idea of what we wanted to do. Jun's tour gave us the chance to decide on places that we would like to spend more time at. Dinner was great! He took us to where he usually goes so it was a nice personal touch.
Fantastic tour! Great way to get an overview of this vibrant city if you only have a short time in Tokyo. Just be ready for a really long day. We were exhausted by the end but satisfied. Jun really packs it in but also made it a memorable experience.
My wife and I joined this tour on the first full day we had in Japan/Tokyo, which was a perfect start on the vacation. We covered a lot of great sights/neighbourhoods in Tokyo, and Jun was really good at telling about the different things we went to see. But just as important, he shared a lot of insights into Japanese culture and customs - e.g. when we went for both lunch and dinner, we learned about good Japanese behaviour, while also understanding more about the various food items etc. All in all this is a really great full day to explore Tokyo, and learn a lot about Japanese culture at the same time, which I'm sure we will benefit from during the rest of our vacation. We can highly recommend this tour, and Jun is a great host/guide and an excellent ambassador for his country.
If you do only one experience in Tokyo, this is the one to do! Jun took us to historic sites, hip modern neighborhoods, and everything in between. It's a long tour, but if I had tried to visit all of those locations on my own it would've easily taken multiple days. This is a great experience to do on your first full day in Tokyo, because Jun very kindly shows how the subway system works (something I was intimidated by) and shows you maps of where you are at any given time during the tour. He provided interesting historical facts about the locations we visited, which added so much color to all of the amazing things we saw. Be warned - you will be walking a LOT, so wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. But it's well worth it!
I would recommend this as a first day in Tokyo for anyone who is hearty and isn’t afraid of a long day with lots of walking. It was wonderful. We saw so much and shared two special meals with our host. It seems like a rare gift to have such personalized hospitality, kindness and expertise Japanese history and culture
Hands down this tour is the best way to see all the major sites in Tokyo. We did this on our first full day in the city, and we were blown away by how much ground we covered. Jun is extremely warm and such a terrific guide. He expertly navigated our group on the subway, through crowded streets, and to places we were unlikely to see or fully appreciate without a guide. He brought our group to a stellar sushi restaurant where he explained the Japanese culture and traditions around ordering, eating, and completing a meal. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, you will see more of the city than you ever thought possible in a day.
I highly recommend taking this extra long tour with Jun. There is no way I could have covered this much ground with this much insight in 9 hours only. Do this on your first day, to get a feel of each neighborhood so that you can go back to the ones that are most interesting to you in the following days. Jun is friendly, and very passionate about his city. You can tell he put a lot of thought process in the itinerary. The dinner was the highlight of the day. Jun is a wonderful host, and you will really connect with him.
Fantastic overall experience. It exceeded our expectations regarding the number of places we saw and the knowledge and insightfulness that Jun demonstrated. He loves Tokyo and it shows. Every step of the day was carefully planned. Meal recommendations were outstanding as well. Great way to see so much of Tokyo in one day. Highly recommended.
Jun and his experience was really amazing! We saw all the important attractions of Tokyo with a lot of background informations. That is the perfect experience for a good overview of the town. Besides we had a great lunch in a sushi restaurant and a very good dinner in a hidden Izakaya without any tourists. Jun explained and show us the typically food, witch was really delicious. Great recommendation for all who want see Tokyo in one day with good food, nice people and a lot of fun. And after the tour we stayed in touch with Jun for any questions about the city.
One warning: prepare to walk a lot. Now that aside, this could not have been a better experience. Jun greets everyone with warmth and caring upon meeting. When you’re a stranger visiting a foreign land, this kind of interaction is incredibly valuable. As he walks you through the city, he explains things from his perspective as a native explaining the culture, history, value of more places in one day... then I would have seen in a week. I am incredibly grateful to Jun for doing this. It was amazing. Thank you and if someone is thinking about doing this, I recommend it with no hesitation. Just be prepared to walk. Otherwise, it was like being led by a good friend who knows the city very well and your request was “hey, can you show me everything in one day? Is that possible?”
I cannot speak highly enough of the tour of Tokyo that Jun provided yesterday. My family and I have done other tours with local guides in other major cities in Europe and the USA and Jun is by far the best guide we have had. He showed us the real Tokyo and was extremely knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture. We had such an enjoyable day and will be recommending this tour to all of our family and friends who are planning on coming to Tokyo. The information Jun provided prior to the tour was very detailed so that we knew exactly what we would be doing, where to meet, the cost for meals etc. Thanks Jun it was amazing!!!
This experience was a perfect one for the beginning our of holiday in Japan. We typically like to start off with a local guide when traveling to a new city as you can learn some local tips and things like taking the metro to build confidence for the rest of your trip. Jun far exceeded my expectations. He was super knowledgeable and provided us with great insight to Japanese culture. We were able to see so many things that we would have merely walked by without acknowledging. You will get your steps in for sure but the downtime for lunch and dinner helped balance the day. Highly recommend this experience!
On my first full day in Tokyo, I signed up for this experience with Jun-San. Make no mistake about it, this is a very active tour (walked 10+ miles over about 12 hours). I was blown away by the amount which we were able to see and by the cultural education which Jun-San shared. I was particularly enlightened to learn about the proper traditions for entry and prayer at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. There were several opportunities to “customize” the tour with a bit of shopping or exploring at the points of interest. I enjoyed perusing in Akihabara and walking through Ginza (the stationary store, SONY, and Nissan showrooms!). When we took breaks for meals, they were very enjoyable and wonderful cultural experiences. I enjoyed the sushi which Jun recommended, as well as the brown sugar bubble tea and Takoyaki throughout the tour. I strongly recommend this experience to anyone passing through Tokyo and encourage you to take advantage of Jim’s expertise to have a fun and authentic experience!
The breadth of this experience was so great, it will be a challenge to summarize! First, where I’m coming from: I signed up as a solo traveler, first time to Tokyo. I’m intrigued by Japanese culture and hadn’t done mush research on a “must-see” list before arriving. I only had a few days, so the opportunity to see “top-10+” combined with the walking and using the transit (trains) system, along with the positive reviews helped me to decide to sign up. My expectations were exceeded, not just because of the ground we covered, but all the detail and attention that Jun put into the experience and his care for the group along the way. I won’t spend time listing the places we saw, you can read that in Jun’s description. It was a city-wide tour that was a well -choreographed variation as far as quiet, peaceful places, bustling streets and neighborhoods, as well as thoughtful explanations of local history, daily life and customs. (Bonus: along the way I picked up helpful info about how to use the trains, which came in handy for the rest of my trip) Jun’s passion for expressing his knowledge of his home to visitors was apparent and appreciated (his English is great, which was helpful for me). All along the way, our host was attentive to our small, international group of tourists. If someone was interested in staying a bit longer at a site or had additional questions, he was happy to oblige. Along the way he took group photos which he provided to us after the tour. Those who were able to joined him for “Japanese tapas” after the end of the official tour (which he invited us to do at the very beginning of the day). An example of his thoughtfulness was when I asked him where the bathroom was after lunch: he could have easily let me know it was the door on the left and I would have been fine with that. Instead he accompanied me to the two doors and described the lettering on the door meaning ‘women’ so that I would know which to use in my future pit stops (not every door has a gender silhouette or English). Top it off with incredible weather, and a really cool group of people. A great adventure, an incredible value for the cash. Be prepared for lots of walking (you can rest while riding the trains!), and come with your curiosity and questions. Best value tour I’ve experienced, made possible by Jun’s dedication to his guests and his obvious love of his city. Do this tour!!
Great experience!!! Excellent recommendations!!
Had a great time! Tokyo is very overwhelming at the beginning. Having this experience made it much easier.
Mitchko was great!
If you only have a short time in Tokyo this is a great way to see the city!!!
The tour was great, great group, great sights, great day
Awesome experience and our guide was exceptional and informative
Awesome experience, set us up for the next couple of days exploring Tokyo ourselves!
great job
My husband and I had a great time on the tour. We took the tour on our first full day in Tokyo. Jun was booked the day I wanted, but he sent Shun in his place and Shun was great. He showed us many things about Japan culture. Shun took many pictures for us at the different places we stopped off at. He took us to a delicious sushi restaurant for lunch and a fantastic izakaya for dinner, both places we wouldn’t have found on our own, shun translated the menu for us at both places. I highly recommend this tour.
Michiko was a fabulous tour guide! My favorite part of the tour were the special restaurants she took us to. I’d never be able to see them otherwise! I had the best sushi ever in a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. This was a big highlight of our trip!

It's my 1st experience and didn't regret getting this tour, especially I'm travelling alone! Thank you so much Shun! Made my day
Michiko was the ultimate host! Kind, caring, and genuinely concerned about my experience. I do not think I could have experienced Tokyo in such an efficient manner without the help of Machiko. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to see all that Tokyo has to offer. I recommend doing this experience at the beginning of the trip as it opened so many doors for further exploration!
Great tour just be prepared to walk a lot. You see many places in one day. Navigating the train it’s confusing therefore having someone guiding you it’s great. Overall I loved this tour.
Firstly, I want to mention that our tour guide was Michiko-san. If you are assigned to this wonderful woman you are lucky.
Michiko-san brought us to all locations that were mentioned in the tour. Be prepared to walk a lot. My smart watch showed we walk approximately 25km and it did worth it.
Michiko-san told us about Tokyo, history of each place. We discussed politics and culture. She has been living in USA before, so language is not a thing to worry about.
Secondly, I was a single travel and getting along with group members was easier with help of Michiko-san.
We finished our tour earlier. Michiko-san offered us to have dinner either with her or on our own. Two of us left due to being tired but me and and person stayed. We ended up spending time together in a sushi place. We talk a lot about her past and each of us told our story, it was really interesting.
We took great pictures during tour and I also took pictures with her.
Arigatōgozaimashita Muchiko-san
Michiko is a great tour guide who showed us not only sightseeing places, but also her reflections as a Japanese who spent years in Vegas and returned to Tokyo.
Wow!! This experience was exactly what we had hoped for and MORE when we booked. Our host (Michiko) was so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us discover Tokyo. She is a world class host. We had this experience on our very first day in Tokyo and it gave us the perfect snapshot of areas to explore in greater detail. Oh and we had the best sushi lunch ever. Seriously. Ever. Thank you Jun and Michiko!!! Arigato!!!
The schedule was full so I messaged Jun and he gave us the opportunity to work with another tour guide, Michiko. She was wonderful, sweet, and very knowledgeable and gave us an incredible tour. We couldn’t have done it without her and are very glad we messaged Jun. Thank you Michiko and Jun for giving us a great experience in Tokyo!!!
This was a great experience that I highly recommend if you want to learn more about Tokyo and it’s history. We did this on our first day and it made us feel more comfortable traveling around for the remainder of our trip
Our tour guide was great. He really made a special effort to show us around Tokyo and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great day. Thank you!
Recomiendo encarecimante un tour de bienvenida de este tipo cuando vienes a Tokyo. Te llevan a lugares donde a la gente turista nos cuesta encontrar y te empapas de la cultura. Muchas gracias por una experiencia inolvidable!
Had a great day walking around in Tokyo looking at historical and important places.
The host did a great job and I can for sure recommend others to do this tour!
Thanks to michiko for a fantastic trip - it made a huge difference to getting around Tokyo- enjoyed the whole day especially learning numbers, the food and culture xx
This tour is a must when visiting Tokyo for the first time. We were able to get an understanding of the city and it’s culture and see some sights we may have otherwise missed
This experience is a wonderful way to see the amazing city of Tokyo. We visited a number of major sites, from Tsukuji Fish Market to Meiji Shrine. Our guide for the day, Michiko was a an amazing and experienced tour guide who knows Tokyo like the back of her hand. She was the best, very kind, accommodating to our questions, and we are grateful that we had such an insightful guide taking us around the city on our first full day in Japan. Wear your most comfortable shoes! Highly recommend!
Our guide really did go through everything on the list and answered most of our questions. Lunch was really good and he made sure that we rested when we needed to - we got a snack and second lunch when we needed a bit of a boost. Got through almost 25000 steps so be prepared to cover a lot of ground, but definitely worth it as we know where we want to go back and check out in more detail.
Really enjoyable, got to see all the major sites and perfectly paced! I enjoyed it even though I had been to many of the sites before.
This is an excellent way to explore Tokyo's main sights in just one Day. The tour covered many interesting spots, it was very efficient, professional and enjoyable. The group size was good and the host very friendly and professional.
Im visiting from Miami and its my first time in Tokyo and I’m very grateful for this experience and I strongly recommend.Even if you have been to Tokyo before you will get to to know the city better. Shun was also allot of and introduced us to great Japanese delicious treats.
Loved this experience! Michiko was the perfect guide! We decided to do this on our first full day in Tokyo to see many of the must see sights, learn the metro system, and then have the rest of our time in Tokyo to explore what else we wanted to see. Michiko stuck to the itinerary while also taking us on a couple of detours based off things we had mentioned. She really listened to our interest and found a couple of specific shops for us. At the end of the tour, she made sure we safely made it back to our station. She also made sure to get lots of pictures of us along the way. Even though my feet are sore, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Definitely recommend for first timer in Tokyo. Our host Hiromi was pamper us really good & we’ve visit lots of places, & customize our tour per our preference.
Great experience! Covered all the highlights of Tokyo and really learned a lot about the Japanese culture. Guide spoke perfect English and went beyond to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. After this tour you will feel like a local. I really enjoyed our guide showing us some beautiful cherry blossoms and plum trees. I recommend to all.
Michiko is such a lovely guide. She shares her knowledge with passion and experience. She made us feel like we were long time friends visiting. I highly recommend anyone coming to Tokyo for the first time to take this “all you have to see” in one day experience.
Our guide was a fabulous guide for a fabulous city. We highly recommend this tour. It’s long with lots of walking but totally worth it. Do this on your first day in Tokyo or if you only have limited time. It’s a great way to see it all in a day. You take the metro everywhere. I’m sure there are larger tours that take busses but this is a small and intimate group walking tour. Highly recommended.
At very stop our guide explained what was special about it. Although at the end of our tour I was exhausted, I was overall very pleased with the entire experience. I don't think I would have gone to or found many of the places on my own. I had a wonderful day.
I had my tour with Moeko-san and she was AMAZING! So sweet, kind, and friendly. She was very considerate of the group and kept us engaged the whole time. I definitely would recommend her and this tour. Thank you Moeko!
Wonderful! Our guide made the day very memorable. We saw many sites in a short period of time, learned a lot about the city and had fun too. It was the perfect introduction to Tokyo! Per our request, they even customized the end of the day for us. Also, as a nice touch, they provided a drop box with photos from our day. This day was truly a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this experience!
I love the experience and the fact that is not easy to move around in Tokio and it helped a lot. Although it was Kaori’s first time carrying it on, she was well prepare, did the research in advance and was very polite and friendly all the time. Totally recommend it!
Thanks!
I strongly recommend this experience after jet lag. It is a very long tour, but an amazing one. You will know places only locals know about; you'll enjoy the passion of the real Japanese culture; you'll end up knowing the metro pretty well. Overall: MUST DO!
This was a perfect start to our Japan trip. As newcomers our guide “K” taught us all that we needed to know about what to do, see and how to navigate Tokyo. We absolutely loved the care and compassion that was shown and highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, was amazing! We travelled by train throughout the day and got to see some of the beautiful architecture and history Japan has to offer. Definitely worth the money, especially if you do the experience within the first few days of your trip.
Our host was gracious and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. He catered to our interests and ended up taking us out on a night on the town! Thanks again guys! When I come back I’ll be sure to send you a message!
This was a great tour. My guide Michiko was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took me to great spots and helped me understand the subway as well.
I had a great time with Kaori and she took us to many sites, some I would have known to visit since they were tourists areas and some I would have never known to go. One place we went back to visit the next day and had a great time there. It was a long tour but Kaori was very accommodating to our special needs and dietary requests and was patient with us, especially my teenager daughter. We got to see much more as tourist since Japan is still closed to most tourist and none of the sites were really crowded. I would definitely use them again for another tour.
A must do experience! Perfect for the first day in Tokyo, you see so many sights and different areas that you cant help but want to come back and explore again! highly recommended!
I fortunately got the opportunity to have a whole private tour to myself! My tour guide was Michiko she was amazing! She was really sweet and very knowledgeable about every location she brought me to. I learned a lot in just one day. She also helped teach me how to confidently use the subway system in Tokyo. Overall very happy with the tour I saw lots of places worth revisiting. A lot of the spots weren’t very touristy either which is good because I got to see a lot of local life in Japan like markets, streets and uncommonly known sights.
Yasuko was a great host! Great service and a great time. Highly recommended this experience to anyone visiting Tokyo. It is such a great way to see all the key places in one day.
Yasuko was our guide on this tour and she was an excellent host - knowledgeable, kind and passionate about the city. It is a long day of stops but organised in a way to make it manageable (even with jet lag after travelling into Japan the night before) and an excellent way to see the main sights and get your bearings. I did this tour on my first day and from there I planned where I wanted to return to and then also felt comfortable navigating the public transport and the city in general. I would recommend this tour to everyone, wear your walking shoes!
We booked this tour on our 1st day in Tokyo and 1st time in Japan . I’m so glad we did this as Yasuko was an amazing host and guide. We will definitely do another tour when we are back in Tokyo next year.
Amazing experience! We are Tokyo First-time visitors from New York, so we knew very little about the city. Having the lovely Nakky-san show us around was the absolute perfect introduction to a city that can seem a little daunting as a first-time visitor. We didn't know that we would get pictures too! Nakky took lots of pictures of us, helped us with the trains, answered every question we had, and explained the history of every location we visited. If you're a seasoned Tokyo veteran this might not be for you, but if you're a newbie, look no further. But be warned, you will walk A LOT. Even for us New Yorkers it was a lot of walking. Completely worth it, but just a heads up. What a great day.
This whorl-wind tour was absolutely perfect for us. We had limited time in Tokyo and really needed guidance, especially on the transportation system. We learned so much while having great fun the whole time. Our guide Michiko was very experienced and attentive, pacing the tour according to our interests. Note to fellow tourists: if you are rookies like us, do this tour soon after arrival to prepare you for the rest of your visit. This is a snapshot tour of the best of Tokyo and you’ll get all your steps in. Wear sneakers!
What a great way to get a taste of what Tokyo has to offer! Michiko was a wonderful guide who was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. My mom and I had a wonderful time during our first time in Japan. Tokyo can be overwhelming in its scope and scale, and having someone local to help us to explore the highlights was definitely a smart choice. I would especially recommend this tour if your time is limited in Tokyo and you want to make the most of it. People considering booking this tour should be aware that it is truly a full day experience, so make sure to dress accordingly. You will be on your feet for a good portion of the day, so proper shoes are a must! Thank you to our tour guide Michiko for a wonderful experience, we had a lovely time and would absolutely recommend this tour to others visiting Japan.
Best 1st day in a city... lots of experiences and local guide made huge difference in seeing a new
culture.
Yasuko was a fantastic guide. We covered SO much ground, and it didn't feel rushed. Really solid overview of Tokyo, and she's a wealth of info/history. She even took some nice pics of me, which I usually don't have as a solo traveler. :)
Great way to get to know Tokyo! You see so much, and get a good sense of where you'd like to explore again. Highly recommended for people unfamiliar with the city. 🙂 Note that people with bad jet lag can struggle a bit -- load up the melatonin the night before and show up fresh-faced!
We had a great time on this experience! It was our first full day in Tokyo and this tour was just right. We were able to get great pics at some iconic areas and noted where we wanted to come back and spend extra time.
Our guide was attentive and kind, and had good information to share. All in all a great time. **Fair warning- it is a LONG day of walking and touring so one should definitely be prepared accordingly.
Great experience! Would highly recommend for your first day in Tokyo. You get to learn so many things about Japanese culture, the sites, and getting around the city.
Get your walking shoes on! It’s an amazing experience to hit all the big sites in one day but it’s absolutely worth it to experience walking and having someone guide you on the mass transit in your first couple of days in Tokyo
This tour was a great option with out limited time in Tokyo. My family saw so much in one day. Be prepared it’s a lot but worth it. Michiko was a great guide and we are sure to go back and spend some more time at some great new finds
This was a great tour to do, especially on the first day of my time in Tokyo! If anything, you will master all the trains and feel so much more confident..and that is huge! We really explored so much of the city, and it allowed me to figure out what I wanted to do with the remainder of my time! The tour guide Michiko was EXCELLENT and so sweet, she even spent her own money to purchase us a sweet treat she wanted us to try! I highly recommend this tour, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny
Recommended especially for first time visitors on short stay! Tour will give you an overview of the different areas in tokyo using public transportation. Long day, long walks but well worth the AM-PM schedule. Arigato michiko! Got the group pics really fast & she even dropped me off at my dinner place at the end of the tour
Good tour. Lots of walking, but that’s expected. Plan to go to the major stuff another time. Still a great one to mark off some of the big ones. Suggest you do this one early in your trip so you know what you still need to see.
Lots of things and lots of sights, but it can give you a good idea of what to do or where to go to take your time later on in the different spots.
This tour was amazing. I was able to cover major sites in one day. I felt accomplished and happy with the experience overall. I recommend this as you arrive to Tokyo in order to get a feel for everything and then you can go back to your favorite sites. It’s a long tour, so be prepared for a lots of sight seeing. Highly recommend!
On of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Very informative and the host was beyond amazing! Had an incredible time and would recommend to everyone!
Nice experience, nice places, willing to explain the history of the places and give recommendations for the next days on Tokyo, good attitude, good for the price and the time
This was one of the best tours ever! This is the best possible introduction to Tokyo and made me fall in love with the city. My guide Michiko was so knowledgeable, kind, energetic and fun -- I highly recommend her. Definitely a lot of walking (my Fitbit counted 23,000 steps) so you have to be ready for this, but totally worth it! I realized the next day after the tour how much more knowledgeable I felt about Japanese culture and how much more at ease I felt getting around the city by myself. Thanks to the walking tour, I felt I knew exactly what I wanted to see more of in the city and knew how to take the subway to get to places on my own. Don't go to Tokyo without taking this tour!
If you only have one day to see Tokyo, this tour is absolutely fantastic. My group and I had an amazing time touring the city with our incredible guide who made this 10 hour tour something to remember for a lifetime.
