This is a great tour to learn about the history and culture of Kyoto. The tour guide is educated on all things Kyoto and will bring you to all of the popular tourist spots as well as some hidden gems. It’s also a great way to meet new people along the way.

This tour was certainly filled with all the highlights and many great locations around Kyoto. Our guide worked very hard to provide us the most opportunities to see an experience all the locations throughout the city.
Great tour! My daughter and I did it on our first day in Kyoto and our guide was wonderful. Not only was she super nice and knowledgeable, she was also well equipped and lent us two umbrellas which really helped in the intense heat! Great way to start our trip! We especially enjoyed finishing the tour at Nishiki market :) Thank you for everything!

Meg (Megumi) was an attentive and informative host. The heat was full on but that didn't phase her and she made sure we were in the shade when possible. There's no way we could've done this tour ourselves, and we enjoyed going through the sideways and secret passages. Awesome experience. You really get to see so many iconic places in Kyoto, plus you get the backstory on all these places too! Much better than simply walking through a place and saying ‘wow what a cool place’. With the story behind all these locations you get the right context for all these popular sights. Highly recommend. Be ready to walk under the hot sun if you are doing this at the height of the summer season!

We had the best time on this tour! We got to see so much more than we would have had we tried to visit the sites ourselves. It can be tricky going from place to place and it would have taken much longer to do. Our guide was such a delight as well. She was so kind and informative. I highly recommend this experience!!
Masako did a great job showing us around the most popular spots in Kyoto. She also gave us the right amount of informations and historical facts about the places we were visiting. The group pictures that were taken at each spot and sent to us right after the tour were very wholesome and make a nice memory.
As first time visitors, it was a great way to get an impression of the famous town.
Great communication. The day was hot, but Masako was on point the whole time and provided and overview of several major sites of Kyoto. The small size of the group was good, too
Overall, great tour which highlighted all the top shrines and temples in the area, as well as the shopping district. Meg was very informative. It was especially hot that day, but Meg had umbrellas for all of us, which was so nice and unexpected!
