My main hobby is trying foods at various eateries. In particular, I like alcohol.
I love drinking so much that I used to run a Yakitori restaurant.

Sam is a lovely and considerate guide. He was very open and accommodating to our interests, and patient with our requests. We have learnt some interesting facts about the area and the tour helped us understand Japan better.

Communication and meet up with Sam was very easy and prompt. Sam very kindly waited when we were late and trying to find the meeting point.
He was also very kind to help us find amasake which I wanted to try. The most interesting part of the tour was walking through Golden Gai and getting some insight into the nightlife of Tokyo.
Would recommend if you wanted a quick run down of the area, or if you wanted to explore the shadier part of town with a chaperone.

Sam was an amazing tour guide. He had planned the tour based on what he thought we would like but then adjusted the various stops once he got to know us a bit better. He told us so much, not just about Shinjuku and the various places we were visiting but also about customs in Japan which was very informative and helpful. We would never have found all the places Sam took us on by ourselves and we’d never have known everything he told us.
We were very tired as we’d done a lot of walking already that day but the time with Sam flew by and we were sorry when it had come to an end. It’s an experience we won’t forget anytime soon! Definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had in Japan.

We are not usually ones for guided tours, preferring to explore ourselves and amble about. But we cannot rate this tour highly enough for somewhere bustling like Shinjuku. It was just us and the tour guide, and the personalisation was excellent.
We saw places that we absolutely never would have seen or known about ourselves (think little hidden areas, side streets, attractions, and stores).
Plus the night ended with a fantastic view over Tokyo, and recommendations of further places that we might want to explore.

I recently went on the nightlife tour in Shinjuku and Kabukicho and had an absolute blast! Our guide, Sam, was knowledgeable, friendly, and took us to some incredible hidden spots we would have never found on our own. The energy and excitement of the nightlife in these areas were electric, and we felt completely safe with our guide. We had some delicious local street food and Sake.
