Japanese Authentic Tea Ceremony in a Beautiful temple

About 800 years ago, green tea and Matcha came to Japan together with Buddhism, as a medicine. Afterward, Tea Ceremony has developed as a Japanese original culture, by taking in Buddhist spirit.
For this reason, a truly Japanese and traditional tea ceremony is one performed by monks in a Buddhist temple.
At present, Tea Ceremony is called composite art for exploring the beauty of the heart. Tea Ceremony is the perfect opportunity to fully appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture.

Tokyo is one of busiest city in the world, so while you are here, you may be looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo city for a while.
In such a time, how about an authentic Japanese-style tea ceremony experience at a serene Japanese garden or Buddhist temple surrounded by lush greenery?

Among so many of tea ceremony experiences in Tokyo, staffs of us visited on the sites again and again, and selected carefully the best Buddhist temples and Monks as instructors for tea ceremony.
Tea ceremony of our experience is not for commercial, not specialized for foreign tourists, but authentic, real one.

In beautiful nature in every season, please enjoy a cup of Matcha green tea of “once-in-a-lifetime chance”.
Please pay close attention to the delicate design of the room.

Room decorations such as wall scroll poster and flowers are thoughtfully selected and placed exclusively only for once, only for you. All the utensils, Matcha, and confection are also chosen selectively for you on the day.

Once you are settled, you’ll then be served by host with confection followed by (not sweet) real Matcha.
And next, it's your turn. We instruct you how to serve Japanese tea to others according to our unique etiquette. But nothing to worry about. We know you are a beginner.

We would “love” to answer your any types of questions.
These conversations are important part the tea ceremony.
The more guests ask, the more tea ceremony will enrich.

【note】
Please understand previously that the hosts of this experience are not business/commercial type people, but Japanese real craftsman or real priests. And in Japan, they usually do not speak English well, but they will do their best to make you enjoy this experience.

My two friends and I went to a tea ceremony at 10 am and it was the perfect way to start the day! The host was extremely friendly and spoke a ton of English. She gave us a tour of the temple before the ceremony and it was so beautiful! She told us the history of their temple and their town so we could really appreciate the setting before we started the tea ceremony. A priest came to perform the ceremony, and the host talked us through the meaning of it as it went on. We loved the whole experience. Our host especially made the experience special since she was so kind and fun to talk to. We felt like very valued guests! Highly recommend!

The tea ceremony was led by 2 passionate ladies who were incredibly knowledgeable about the Tea Ceremony (Sado). They first demonstrated it and then invited us all to lead it ourselves. They had the curtesy of bringing a translator for me and the experience expanded beyond Tea and towards explaining the concept of Do and how the Tea Ceremony, like many traditional Japanese practices, is mostly about building the mind. It was a great experience spent with remarkable people.

The Tea Ceremony is a must try experience in Japan. The session was very informative and the meeting place was peaceful. Our instructor was mindful and gave us detailed instructions on how to perform the art of tea ceremony as he used proper tools and explained the process and the history behind it. Overall, we enjoyed our time as we practiced the tea ceremony ourselves.

This was an amazing opportunity to learn more about tea ceremonies in such a beautiful, serene environment. Although we had to travel a little bit from the centre of Tokyo, the temple was very easy to find, and was breathtakingly beautiful. The garden and tea room had been prepared so carefully for us, and we felt extremely welcomed. It was fascinating to learn not only about the ceremony, but about the history, and to see tea bowls that were hundreds of years old. It was very relaxed and we felt able to ask questions and learn everything that we could. It was a wonderful, one of a kind experience.
